Unlock the mystery of Australia’s most iconic trees with a hands-on workshop tailored to your region. With over 1,000 species, eucalypts can be famously tricky to ID - this immersive course breaks it down using localised samples and practical techniques.
Workshops blend engaging presentations, ID tools, specimen handling, and field-based learning.
You'll gain skills in:
Recognising key ID features
Using simplified keys and botanical descriptions
Understanding eucalypt ecology and plant communities
A complimentary copy of the Eucalypt Features Guide is provided with each ticket.
These workshops are perfect for groups of ecologists, bush regenerators, students, bush-walkers, educators and plant lovers.
Thursday 26th November Building 43. G01 Registration 8:00 am - 8:20 am. Presentation/Acknowledgement of country @ 8:30 am.
Friday 27th November @ 8:00 am (location tbc)
***Note attendees must have completed Day one - Fundamentals (to gain the necessary skills) before attending day two - eucalypt field tour***
Day two - Eucalypt tour of Uni of Wollongong campus (attendees will be emailed prior to the event).
Workshops will need a minimum of 12 attendees to run (with a maximum of 20). BYO lunch/cup (tea and snacks provided on day one of the training).
