Canberra Blues Society proudly presents Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges.

Born into a well known musical family in New Orleans …he was already playing with his father around Louisiana at age 5. Eugene whips up a storm with his distinctive southern sound. With multiple award winning & chart topping albums to his name, he is absolutely one of America’s Top Blues legends.

Eugene has headlined at major festivals in the USA, all over Europe, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia and has been nominated for three Grammy Music Awards. In 2017 The US Jus’ Blues Music Foundation announced that Eugene Hideaway Bridges was to be their 2017 honoree for the Albert King Lifetime Award, “The Lucy Award”, for his outstanding contributions in continuing to keep the style of traditional Blues alive.
His live performances received rave reviews and Eugene was awarded UK's Blueprint Magazine Vocalist of the Year. He also won The Trophees France Blues 99 Chanteur De L'Annee among a long list of other remarkable accolades.

Big and burly, wearing a cowboy hat with his guitar slung across his chest, Eugene is a veritable Blues machine.
