Euphoria Kin: Rainbow Family Picnic – Last Chance to Register (closed this Sunday 17/08)

Our first-ever Rainbow Family Picnic is almost here, and registrations close this week. If you haven’t saved your spot yet, now’s the time.

Date: Saturday 23 August
Location: Mordialloc
Tickets: From $2 per person
Purpose: Half of all proceeds go to Queer Space, supporting LGBTQIA+ mental health and community.

What’s Happening on the Day

Fairy Lucy from ELS Entertainment is bringing bubbles, balloons, games, and lots of fun. Pop one of her rainbow bubbles and make a wish.
Natalie Edge, a Melbourne-based queer photographer, will be there to capture relaxed, authentic moments. Her work is all about making people feel comfortable and seen.
Orchard Co will provide fresh, tasty snacks, perfect for your picnic spread.
A curated selection of books from Hares & Hyenas will be available as special gifts for some lucky attendees — stories chosen to celebrate and reflect our community.

Two Big Giveaways
We’re excited to offer two amazing giveaways at the event:

The Ultimate Verve Experience: A luxury photography session, personalised design consultation, and stunning framed artwork from Melbourne’s leading portrait studio, valued at $1,095.

What to Bring
We recommend bringing a picnic rug or something comfy to sit on — the event will be held in the park.
Thanks to The Somewhere Co., we’ll also have a few beautiful Sunset Soiree Leisure Rugs available on the day. If you don’t have your own, you’re very welcome to share.

We’ll be taking photos during the event, but you’re welcome to opt out if you prefer not to be photographed.
Please be mindful of others’ privacy — don’t post photos of other children without permission, and we ask that you do not share images of Euphoria Social team members’ children.

About the Event

We’re so excited to welcome you to the very first Euphoria Kin gathering, a new peer-led initiative from Euphoria Social, created especially for LGBTQIAPN+ parents, carers, guardians, and their children.

This relaxed, meet-up is a chance for rainbow families to come together, connect, share stories, and simply enjoy time in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space.

It’s casual and informal, perfect for families who may feel isolated or underrepresented in traditional parenting settings. You are seen, and you belong here.

What’s Included in Your Fee

Your registration helps us ensure committed attendance (only 40 spots available!) and includes:

Light refreshments and snacks
Light entertainment and activities
A real space and atmosphere just for LGBTQIAPN+ families

Who This Is For

This space is specifically for LGBTQIAPN+ families who are actively raising children — including:

Parents, guardians, carers, and grandparents
Chosen family members involved in raising children
Co-parents or extended family support systems

All family structures and identities are welcome. If you play a meaningful caregiving or supportive role in a child’s life, this space is for you.

Allies are warmly welcome, whether you're a partner, relative, or friend supporting a rainbow family, your presence is valued and appreciated. We warmly welcome ally families to join us! Kids from ally families can play an important role in helping raise awareness and normalise rainbow families, just by showing up, being kind, and celebrating all the beautiful ways families are made.

About Euphoria Kin & Euphoria Social

Euphoria Kin is a community initiative from Euphoria Social Group Inc., built to support and celebrate LGBTQIAPN+ families of all kinds.

We’re a grassroots, volunteer-run movement on a mission to break down social isolation, build connection, and make sure every queer family feels seen and supported.

Euphoria Social is proudly led by volunteers Emma and T, our board and supported by our amazing community of long-standing ambassadors.
