Discover ways to experiment with different materials and textures and relax into slow stitching.
Create a unique textile art piece or fabric book and experimental samples.
EFTAG textile artist Alison Bogg to explore creative mark-making, textile collage and stitch. This is a fun and experimental workshop where you will be able to produce a small textile art piece or fabric book.
To begin the workshop, have fun playing with materials, simple stitches and collage compositions to create some samples. This helps to free up the creative process and inspire an imaginative array of abstract marks, stitches, shapes and textures.
To create your artwork, you will be guided through the techniques to form your composition. You will be able to select from a variety of hand dyed/printed and other fabric pieces for your collage, using assorted threads, cords and natural/recycled materials to stitch and embellish.
All materials are provided. No experience necessary.
Morning tea provided. Please bring your lunch.
