Event description

Join Adam Chan in a rich workshop understanding, exploring and experiencing Eurythmy.

Eurythmy is a movement art that expresses speech and music through the body. In Steiner Education, it supports child development and meets children in gentle, therapeutic ways as well as being a form of creative expression. As adults we can use eurythmy for our own therapeutic benefits, relaxation, stress relief and as a form of expressive art.

In this practical workshop, we will:

  • Experience eurythmy and what it offers to adults and children (NOTE: this workshop is adults only)
  • Understand Eurythmy’s role in Steiner Education, emphasising both its individuality and relevance in today's world.

Adam Chan is a gifted eurythmist who presents and performs at conferences, workshop, festivals and has taught in over 12 Steiner Schools around the world. Adam first studied eurythmy at Parsifal College in Sydney in 1995, followed a 4-year Diploma in Eurythmy at Aurora Australia in Melbourne. He has worked with young children through to the elderly and is an inspiration as a teacher and practitioner.
