Event description
Three giants of contemporary composition sit side by side in this program of extremes. Adès’ ‘Court Studies’ compresses highlights from his opera ‘The Tempest’ (after Shakespeare) into a brief showcase for quartet - akin to a cyclone, but in a teacup. Adams’ minimalist duo ‘Road Movies’ is hypnotically groovy while Jake Heggie’s incredible song-cycle ‘Eve-Song’ depicts Biblical stories of Eve + Eden.
