Evening of Kirtan-Diwali
Description
Join us for a warm and welcoming Evening of Kirtan as we come together in celebration of Diwali—the festival of lights.
Diwali celebrates the light that carries us through darkness and invites renewal, hope and connection.
Sharing kirtan during this time offers a beautiful way to embody that light—joining our voices through mantra, music and devotion, and experiencing the warmth created when community gathers as one.
Kirtan is a shared practice of mantra, music and meditation. Through simple call-and-response chanting, we allow the mind to soften, the heart to open and the joy of singing together to carry us. No experience is needed, and you do not need to consider yourself a singer—simply come as you are and participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
Held within the beautiful bluestone walls of The Monastery, this gathering offers space to pause, connect and celebrate through music, meditation and community.
The evening will conclude with prasad—a nourishing shared meal offered in the spirit of generosity and togetherness.
This is a donation-based community event. All are warmly welcome.
Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothing and feel free to bring your favourite mug for chai.
