Event 2: Bats of Bendigo
Event description
Ever wanted to know more about the bats that live in Bendigo?
Australia is home to 11 species of flying foxes and 70 species of microbats. Joint the Central Victorian Bat Alliance and the City of Greater Bendigo to learn fun facts about Bendigo's local bats, from the furry, fruit-loving flying foxes in Rosalind Park, to the insect-eating, aerial acrobatic microbats. View the antics of the Grey-headed Flying Foxes hanging in the tree tops through binoculars and there will also be bat-themed arts and crafts activities for the kids. For all ages.
This is an outdoor event so wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring binoculars if you have them.
Meeting point: The Pine Lawn (2) in Rosalind Park, next to the Fernery.
