    Event description

Kia ora and welcome to Every Bite!

Wastebusters is incredibly excited to bring you Every Bite, a food appreciation movement designed to help households become more food resourceful, with the aim of reducing household food waste across Aotearoa by 10%. Sign up today to be part of this change!

This four-week programme provides you with the tools and resources and, most importantly, the motivation to monitor your food waste, as well as loads of tips, tricks, and tasty recipes for keeping your kai in date and on your plates. It’s super easy and will result in some positive changes to your household food waste and your grocery bill.

    What to expect:

    • The 4 week programme consists of two in-person sessions (one at the start and one at the end), with some simple tasks for you to carry out at home to help you reduce your food waste.
    • At the first in-person session on the 1st of May, you'll be treated to some delicious kai prepared by professional chef and Dripping Bowl owner Evelyn Vallillee, as she shares her industry tips for reducing spoilage, ideas for recipe substitute, and loads more.
    • You’ll receive newsletters during the programme with updates and ideas to keep you on track and you’ll have access to a Facebook group where you can share your progress and ideas with other participants, ask questions, discuss challenges and celebrate your wins.
    • We’ll come back together on May 23rd at 6pm, at the Lake Wānaka Centre to have a kōrero about your journey.

The Every Bite programme launches on the 1st May at 6pm at the Lake Wānaka Centre. Registration costs just $10 and, in the spirit of supporting the community, all proceeds from this event will be going to the Wānaka Football Club.
