Event description

Following the success of our sold-out event this Saturday, we are pleased to announce an additional workshop for Napier's communities!

Every Bite is a national food waste prevention project that aims to work with communities of Aotearoa New Zealand to reduce household food waste. The project is delivered by the Zero Waste Network and Environment Hubs Aotearoa and Sustainable HB is taking part. At the heart of the project is the desire to reconnect with each other around the value of food. So naturally, we’re taking a community approach and we are inviting local families and communities to contribute and experiment with us.

We completed our first pilot group in January and it's ready to be rolled out to a wider community. It's a 4-week programme, offering practical skills that enable people to take the next steps in their sustainability journey. This project offers opportunities to connect with food and with each other in a positive and hopeful way. Through learning, sharing and celebrating success, together we will re-learn ways to appreciate our food and we will grow community wellbeing, togetherness and resilience.

If you're interested to join, come along to our workshop:

📅 : Saturday, 27th April
⏰ : 10 - 12pm
🏢 : Taradale Anglican Church / 23 Puketapu Road, Taradale.

We’re very excited about this project and the prospect of learning, sharing, appreciating and celebrating our food together! If you have any questions, please contact me at michelle@sustainablehb.org.nz.
