Event description

At Body Safety Australia, we know that children deserve childhoods free from violence and educators deserve evidence-based training and tangible support to play their part. Right now, early years educators are being called on to strengthen their child safety practice. We are here to support you. This training gives you the time to build from your foundation, expand your understanding and translate learning into action.

Child maltreatment in your workplace

Sadly, we know that sometimes children are harmed while in early childhood centres, schools or out of hours care. Yet many educators and teachers do not feel confident in addressing and escalating their concerns or delay reporting due to uncertainty or fear. This workshop will help you understand and overcome the barriers to preventing and addressing workplace child maltreatment.

Through this practical workshop you will examine case studies and give strategies for overcoming hesitancy around reporting. It will also look at the benefit of building strong, connected teams in preventing abuse and neglect in your workplace.

*Please note that reporting requirements vary from state to state. Participants in this workshop will be provided with a resource outlining reporting requirements and pathways in their state.
