Did you know, you should be eating 8-9g of carbs per kg of body weight in the 2/3 days before a big race?! So we thought it would be fun to bring our community together to bond over lots of carby goodness, a lil pre-mara stretch thanks to our very own Kate Brophy, a catch up outside of the chaos of run club and race day, and if you're feeling creative, make some signs for our official fan zone!!
Thanks to the guys at Pasta Prego we've got an exclusive EveryRun offer for those attending our pre-mara social. You do not have to be running in the Melb Mara to attend our carb load - everyone is welcome!! The official EveryRun spectators need a good carb-loading too!!
What's on the menu?
Runner's Yoga | 6:30pm
Our Runner's Yoga with Kate with begin at 6:30pm. Kate will take us through a grounding 45mins class to help you prepare for race day (both runners and spectators welcome) Use this time to connect with your body, get your mind focused, calm the nerves and be present.
Carb-Sesh | 7:30pm
Stretching and relaxing done, now it's pasta time!!
