Evie's Playground is your monthly playground for expression without apology. A place for newcomers and future legends, for experimentation and excellence, for competition and connection. A place where we can honour where we come from while imagining where we are going.

Evie’s Playground is rooted in community, visibility, cultural celebration, self-expression and joy.

We believe that taking up space can be an act of celebration. We believe movement can be a voice.

This edition is Latinx themed, celebrating Latinx culture as the beginning of Latinx history month. We ask that community come through and celebrate this Genesis of looking after our youth in ballroom.

A portion of the ticket sales will go towards Colombia Earthquake Relief to help support those who were impacted by the devastating earthquake that took place in Colombia. This shocked the nation, the town of Choco being the epicentrepoint on August 29th.

Choco was generally underdeveloped in infrastructure prior to the earthquake and its town's population are majority indigenous and black. The aftermath was devastating as it now lacks the resources which the major cities have access to.
