Evie's Playground: Halloween
Evie's Playground
Mother Angel Furia & Chantal 007 bring you a new series to bring back the ‘Ki’ in kiki. This one's for the youth, for the culture, for Naarm Ballroom.
Evie's Playground is your monthly playground for expression without apology. A place for newcomers and future legends, for experimentation and excellence, for competition and connection. A place where we can honour where we come from while imagining where we are going.
Evie’s Playground is rooted in community, visibility, cultural celebration, self-expression and joy.
We believe that taking up space can be an act of celebration. We believe movement can be a voice.
And we believe there should always be a place in Naarm where queer people can come together, turn the music up, take the floor, and be witnessed.
Come as you are.
Bring your story.
Take the floor.

We recognize their enduring, living connection to Country, culture, and community, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
