ALMA ZYGIER COMBO

Commanding the stage with a heady mix of Jazz and Blues, Alma Zygier’s mesmerizing presence brings to this timeless music a truly authentic yet modern grit. Her idiosyncratic vocals teeter on the edge of playful and peculiar, a balancing act she has perfected. Alma masterfully portrays both her power and fragility, delivering performances that are enigmatic and provocative. The Melbourne-born songstress defy’s expectations and continues to leave audiences in awe after every performance. 

Alma has played at Hamer Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Sydney Opera House, The Famous Spiegeltent, Wharf 1 Theatre,  Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Rockwiz, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk festival, WOMADelaide, Adelaide Cabaret festival, Adelaide Festival etc. 

Alma also has a featured track on the latest Paul Kelly album.

ARANDÚ

Arandú is a vibrant Latin Jazz fusion ensemble, interweaving hints of soul and funk to transport audiences on a wave of dynamic musical nuance, Arandú brings together a collective of international artists. Together, they craft an infectious blend of rhythm and melody, fusing traditional Latin grooves with modern Jazz and contemporary influences.

Led by musical innovators Josh Fotopoulos (piano) and Alejandro Vega (drums/percussion), who channel their diverse musical backgrounds into original compositions and imaginative reworkings of classic pieces.

Together, their artistic vision is brought to life by a stellar lineup of internationally acclaimed musicians, including Grammy Award nominated trumpeter Tom Jovanovic and powerhouse bassist Pablo Guzzo.

FLASH POETRY

Nico aka Flash Poetry is an acclaimed freestyle rapper, TEDxMelbourne performer, guitarist, MC and the author of the poetry collection 'The Silent World That Won't Stop Talking’.

Flash Poetry weaves powerful stories that collide the ancient with the hyper-modern in order to explore our modern myths & middle-class demons.

Harnessing the power of poetry & freestyle rap, he takes audiences on spontaneous, immersive lyrical adventures informed by crowd suggestions, his surroundings & whatever is most alive in the room at that moment.

Through his unique blend of rhythm, philosophy, comedy & wordplay, the professional copywriter turned poet and ‘Philosorapper’ offers a poetic lens to the conversation while showcasing the mind-bending magic of live improvisation and the flow state.
