Evolution of Standards Consultation: How to get involved

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The B Corp standards are at the heart of everything we do — from certifying businesses worldwide to our broader policy and advocacy work. And just like the world around us, they must evolve as we do, and as business does.

The next round of public consultation on the new draft standards for B Corp Certification is open from 16 January through to 26 March 2024. It’s a crucial opportunity to hear from B Corps, aspiring B Corps and other stakeholders.

Having heard the feedback from the first round of consultations on the level of commitment required for consultation, we are doing things a little differently this time. B Lab Global has been working to build a dedicated website for stakeholders to access the draft standards and share feedback through an integrated survey, improving accessibility and navigation for audiences across the globe.

Join us for an intro to the second consultation on the evolving standards for B Corp Certification and how you can participate, at 12pm AEDT, Wednesday, 7 February*.

We are excited to have Susmita Kamath, Project Manager, from the B Lab Global Standards team joining us to deliver this session for our Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand community. It will cover:

  • An introduction to the Evolution of Standards for B Corp Certification project
  • A high-level overview of what’s changed in the new draft standards
  • How the consultation works and how you can get involved
  • A walkthrough of the new website and survey tool
  • Live questions and answers

The second public consultation is due to begin on 16 January 2024. Find out more and register your interest to be part of our focus groups.
Read our blog on 10 things you need to know about B Lab’s evolving standards for more detail.

We hope to see you at this event!

*Please note the date for this event has been shifted from Tuesday the 6th to Wednesday the 7th, as the Tuesday is Waitangi Day in Aotearoa, New Zealand
