We see the headlines. We hear the facts. We think we know the story.

But behind every story we think we know is a person who has lived far more than we’ve seen.

On Friday 19 February, six people will share their true stories live on the EVRY1 stage.

One of them is MATTHEW HORDER.

On 17 July 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people aboard. Howard and Susan Horder were among the 38 Australians who lost their lives.

Matthew is their son.

Many of us remember the headlines. We remember where we were when we heard the news. We saw the photographs and tried to make sense of what had happened.

For Matthew, those headlines were about his mum and dad.

On 19 February, Matthew will share his story live at EVRY1.

He is one of six people who will take the stage. More storytellers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Six true stories. One minute of silence after each story, because sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can do is give someone our full attention while giving ourselves the best opportunity to let it land.
