Examining the Resilience of the North Korean Regime through Its Propaganda
Seminar Room D, HC Coombs Building
Acton ACT, 오스트레일리아
Event description
This presentation explores the resilience of the North Korean regime by analyzing its propaganda. Although the North Korean media avoids mentioning inconvenient topics, continuous observation of these reports is valuable as it reveals the regime's logic and direction. It also deciphers recent developments, including how the Kim Jong-un regime perceives President Trump's re-election and its perspective on the issue of succession.
Atsuhito Isozaki is Professor of North Korean studies at Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. His research focuses on contemporary North Korean politics and Japan-North Korea relations.
