Event description

Work at CommBank or Telstra? This day is for you.

You already work in one of Australia’s most influential companies - now imagine what’s possible when you add a little code to your toolkit.

Join us in Perth at Bankwest Place for a one-day tech taster event, designed especially for women who are curious about coding, tech careers, or simply trying something new. No experience needed - just a laptop, and an open mind (and maybe a love of cupcakes).

Whether you're in finance, customer service, HR, or operations - if you've ever wanted to understand how tech works (or how to speak the language of developers), this is your moment.

What’s included:

  • A female*-friendly, beginner-welcoming space

  • Self-paced workshops in popular coding languages

  • Mentorship from real-world tech professionals

  • Opportunities to connect with other women across tech and corporate teams

  • Lunch, cupcakes, and so many laughs

You’ll leave with new skills, new friends, and a fresh perspective on what’s possible in tech - from where you are now.

This program is delivered in collaboration with She Codes Australia. At She Codes, our mission is to increase diversity in tech, build bridges between industries, and show just how fun (and empowering) learning to code can be.

Unsure, want to know more, or just want to talk to a human? Reach out at hello@shecodes.com.au.

*We welcome women—both transgender and cisgender—as well as non-binary and gender diverse individuals who have experienced or continue to experience gendered oppression. Self-definition is at the discretion of the individual.
