Charting a Resilient Path to Industry 5.0

We’re at a pivotal moment. The familiar patterns of technological expansion but loose environmental oversight that characterised Industry 4.0 are being rapidly re-evaluated. The world is demanding something different—more resilient inclusive and sustainable approaches to industrial growth. If Industry 4.0 was about digital transformation and efficiency, Industry 5.0 is about purpose. It’s about rethinking how we produce, consume, and create value—not just for shareholders, but for society and the planet.

By connecting into the proposed ASPiRE 5.0 hub, industry can access a trusted, collaborative network of researchers, innovators, and like-minded businesses—working together to build practical, future-focused solutions that make ESG integration not just achievable, but a competitive advantage.
