In our times of great upheaval, making space to hold diverse and conflicting narratives is essential if we are to find points of movement to navigate the challenges faced by landscapes we love.
Framings of Wombat Forest explores 11 diverse perspectives on the Wombat Forest in Central Victoria using photography and audio storytelling. We present these 'framings' in proximity, without attempting to draw conclusions about the ‘right’ way forward. From skink ecologists to bike riders, activists to cultural fire practitioners, we invite you to see the forest from where they stand, and lean into the messiness of what it means to feel connection to place in a changing world.
