Event description

We will be opening graduate Jingwei Bu's solo exhibition PUNCH on Tuesday 3 June, 6-8pm. Danni Zuvela, Director of Adelaide Contemporary Experimental, will open the exhibition.

Jingwei Bu's new solo exhibition of work draws together elements of sculpture, performance, and moving image, as well as intense material investigation. Arising from her recent mentorship with esteemed Australian artist Lindy Lee, this show draws together many of the different strands of Jingwei’s practice to contemplate ideas of language, miscommunication, and the experience of new migrants. The exhibition will feature a performance piece, as Jingwei evolves her process of hammering text into large metal sheets.

Student exhibition Transform will also be opening on this night, with Head of Sculpture and Contemporary Studies Nic Folland opening the exhibition.
