How does one sing a painting? How can a painting be interpreted musically? 

Bronwyn Calcutt’s practice moves in a space between music and painting, exploring the ways in which their abstract languages can interweave and enrich each other. 

For her current exhibition she has composed a song inspired by the key painting “Resonant World” (pictured above) which will be performed at the opening event by female vocal ensemble The Songstresses, accompanied by chimes and harp. Other paintings will also have companion pieces performed.
