Exhibition Opening: This language that is every stone
Event description
Join us to mark this international exhibition three years in the making. Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Asad Raza, and Warraba Weatherall, This language that is every stone is the fourth iteration in a series conceived by Obrist and Raza that survey the work and life of prominent Martinican writer Édouard Glissant.
Developed specifically within an Australian context, This language that is every stone explores cultural synthesis and permeability through the works of Australian First Nations and diasporic artists, with contributions from international counterparts.
A Welcome to Country by Shannon Ruska will take place at 6:30pm followed by speeches.
