A Private Collection: For the love of art A rare glimpse into the private collection of a lifelong art enthusiast, showcasing an eclectic mix of works by celebrated Australian artists including John Coburn, Ray Crooke, Tim Storrier, and Jeffrey Smart. Beginning at just 17 with a painting by John Coburn, the collector spent the next five decades carefully shaping a deeply personal collection. What started as a single acquisition evolved into a rich and eclectic survey of Australian art, reflecting both a lifelong passion and an evolving eye, each piece contributing to a narrative that is as much about the collector’s journey as it is about the art itself.

Through ceramics, floral sculpture, poetry, and photography, the artists express the dualities inherent in mother-becoming; contentment and overwhelm, instinct and uncertainty. An experience at once deeply personal and profoundly universal, one that renders the domestic, divine; the simple, complex; the mundane, extraordinary.
