Corin Millais | Head of Sustainability at Teachers Mutual Bank

Corin is the Head of Sustainability and ESG at Teachers Mutual Bank Ltd, a world leading socially responsible bank. The bank has 234,000+ members and $10.7 billion in assets and serves the education, emergency services, and health sector. He has worked in sustainability for three decades internationally across NGOs, politics and corporate worlds. He was Sustainability lead at Westfield and Mirvac, MD of startup Climate Care Australia, CEO of the Climate Institute, CEO of the European Wind Energy Association, Director of the European Renewable Energy Council, a founder and Director of Global Wind Energy Council. He led campaigns for Greenpeace International on climate, renewables and the ozone layer, and first started working on conservation in Uganda and St Lucia. He has written more than 100 publications.

Melina Morrison | Chief Executive Officer at Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals

Melina was the driving force behind the formation of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM) in 2013 after heading Australia’s Secretariat for the International Year of Cooperatives. Melina has led the movement to historic achievements. Her campaign for access to capital resulted in new laws and more than A$450 million released into Australian cooperatives and mutuals since 2019. In partnership with Monash University, Melina has led the industry development of the Mutual Value Measurement Framework© to measure the value of cooperatives and mutuals. She has raised A$24.5 million in government funding for cooperatives in agriculture and care. Melina is leading a project to develop the first reporting framework for cooperatives for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). She is a director of Australian Mutuals Foundation which assists financial cooperatives in South-East Asia. Melina has worked for more than two decades in the cooperative and mutual movement including editing the ICA Digest for five years and writing the message platform for the ‘Blueprint for a Cooperative Decade’. She was engaged to write a strategic communications plan and assist ICA’s media outreach in the 2012 International Year of Cooperatives.

Mark Worthington | Chief Executive Officer at Australian Mutual Bank

Mark Worthington is the CEO of Australian Mutual Bank, a cooperative financial institution with 60,000 members and $1.8 billion assets. He is a director of the Australian Mutuals Foundation, a charitable organisation which partners domestically with Barnardos, and provides funding for credit union development activities in South-East Asia. Mark has participated in credit union development in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga, and Tuvalu. He is also a director of the managed services company Transaction Solutions Ltd, which provides core banking and infrastructure hosting services to over 50 clients in the financial services sector, including mutual banks and credit unions.
