Vinny Cinque’s Explanation of Benefits
Description
Vinny Cinque’s
Explanation of Benefits: An Activist Play
Directed by Felicia Lobo
January 21st-24th, 2027
at The Pete at The Flea
In this courtroom fever dream, Vinny takes the stand to expose the harrowing truth of his mother’s decline and her imprisonment by America’s for-profit health care system.
As the trial unfolds, Vinny is hurled into the ghosts of his family’s past and dragged through a spiraling maze of delusions, as the courtroom devolves into a carnival of nightmares.
To get justice for his mother, Vinny must confront his own demons and reckon with the psychological toll of being a caretaker in a system that offers little mercy to those who need it most.
