Explore and Preserve: Biodiversity Walk and Nature Activities at Happy Valley Reservoir
Event description
Walk and learn about biodiversity as we protect our reservoir with bush care and nature survey activities at Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve.
South Australia’s reservoir reserves provide unique opportunities for South Australians to interact with and experience nature. As part of Nature Festival 2023, SA Water would like to invite our community to learn about and participate in activities that contribute to improving the health of our reservoir reserves.
At Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve, participants will learn about the role of our reservoirs and the reserves, and the importance of biodiversity for the continued management of these essential systems. The event will include a guided walk to explore a section of the reserve usually closed to the public. While learning about the site, attendees will be invited to observe native birds and take part in a bush care exercise of hand-pulling weeds.
Join us and get some hands-on, first-hand insights into what SA Water’s rangers do to protect these ecosystems and our community's water.
