Explore, Forage & Create At Hills Herbal Collective 1st Birthday
Event description
Join herbalist Brodie and naturopath Kirsten as we celebrate Hills Herbal Collectives first birthday. We will begin the morning with a weed walk which will begin at 10am at the Hills Community garden beds where we will discover and discuss the winter plants we find growing. We'll talk about ways to identify, harvest and prepare the plants as food and medicine.
To celebrate our birthday we will also be sharing the herbal love and teaching you how to create handmade herbal delights including smudge sticks and herbal salts which you will take home with you.
Make sure that you bring your own keep cup to enjoy a tasty herbal tea brewed from leaves that we pick on the day. Also wear weather appropriate gear as this event is held outside. Umbrellas and gumboots are recommended.
The cost of this event goes to purchasing seeds and plants for our community medicinal garden. The medicinal garden bed is used to grow medicine that we share with the community and use as a platform to teach others how to look after themselves with natural medicine.
Bookings are essential are places are limited as we need to cap numbers due to social distancing.
Hills Herbal Collective acknowledges, recognises and respects the Ancestors, Elders, and families of the Boonwurring, Waddawurrung and Wurundjeri of the Kulin nation who are traditional owners of the land in Victoria.
