Explore Ledge Light - Boat Trip & Tour inside the lighthouse

Unfortunately, we have canceled all Ledge Light tours for the present, due to circumstances outside our control.

Come, visit inside Ledge Lighthouse.

Take a short boat ride out to the lighthouse, then climb up to the lantern room in the middle of New London Harbor.

• This year we're leasing the water taxi, so trips will leave from beside the City Pier in downtown New London -- right behind the train station!

• Please arrive 15 minutes early for orientation. Everyone must sign a waiver of liability before boarding.

• Trips are 90-minutes long: 15 minutes out, one hour on the light, and 15 minutes back.

• Trips are timed to run at high tide and also are weather-dependent. Be certain to check your email prior to the trip for any last-minute changes or cancellations.

• There are no toilets on the boat or at the lighthouse.

• Landing at Ledge Light demands some physical dexterity.

• You don't have to be a Ninja, but you will have to balance on the edge of a boat and climb directly up a ladder to reach the platform.

• All passengers must wear appropriate footware: deck shoes or sneakers (no sandals or flip flops.

• Tickets are limited, so reserve your seats today.

Thanks to a Veolia/NL Water Authority grant, if you live in New London or Groton you may visit for just $5! (Be prepared to show a letter with your name & New London or Groton address.) We have 14 $5 tickets available per trip, intended for families unable to pay the full ticket price.
