Explore Kuljak Island | MOVEtober

Celebrate MOVEtober by getting active, exploring the beautiful Swan River foreshore, and enjoying great company on this community walk.

Join the Ascot Walkers for a relaxed 2-3 km walk. Along the way, you'll explore the scenic riverside, visit Kuljak Island, and use a map and clue sheet to uncover interesting landmarks and hidden points of interest.

This relaxed walk is suitable for all ages and abilities, making it a great way to get moving, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors together. Bring the whole family, invite your friends, or come along solo – everyone is welcome!

Whether you're a regular walker or simply looking for a fun way to get moving, friendly volunteers from the Ascot Walking Group will be there to guide the walk, offer support, and share their local knowledge.

After the walk, return to the amphitheatre at Pitman Park to enjoy light refreshments and a chat with fellow participants.

Registration is required to help plan for this activity. Register via Humanitix or contact the City for assistance.

• Meeting Point: Amphitheatre located on the south-west end of Pitman Park, next to 55 Waterway Crescent, Ascot. Click here to view the meeting point location on Google Maps.

• Parking: Available along Waterway Crescent, opposite Freshwater Park (approximately house numbers 39–85).

No worries! You can still get involved by joining one of our MOVEtober Pop-Up Walks at Ascot Waters on Thursday 8, 15 or 22 October at 9:00am. Enjoy a relaxed community walk followed by a free coffee. It's a great way to stay active, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with others in your local community. No registration required.
