Event description

As part of her EXPLORE Residency, Aimee Raitman (VIC) invites South Australian based artists to LOFT to deepen their understanding of contact improvisation.

This free workshop will empower artists to develop an awareness of movement through three layers (skin and fascia, muscle and flesh, and bone and form), providing insight into how each can lead the dance.

Inviting explorations into somatic attunement, weight sharing, momentum and gravity through movement, this workshop will give dancemakers skills to deeply connect to their body and their practice.

When: 11:30am - 1:30pm, Wednesday 23 July
Where: LOFT (Level 1, Lion Arts Centre)
Duration: 90 minutes

This workshop is designed for professional-level independent dancers and is offered free as part of Aimee Reitman's EXPLORE Residency - supported by Australian Dance Theatre and CreateSA
