People attend for many reasons:

It feels good to really engage with others more deeply and richly in collaborative and supportive ways.
A.R. helps upgrade natural fluency in presence, intuition, boundaries, and relating abilities & confidence. (Yes all these can be learned, just like any skills.)
For deeper insights into the essence of who we are. Many folk say that A.R. assisted them drop old patterns, conditioned habits & limitations.

WHAT IS AUTHENTIC RELATING?
A.R. is an internationally-established field of conscious relating skills. Developed in the 1990s in the US, and soon reaching Europe (where we first encountered it many years ago), there are now numerous A.R. community movements across the world. It's also just a convenient name for a field that has varying approaches. Our aim is to be incredibly down to earth and practical.

NCAE Facilitators:
NCAE are a group of friends with a long history of active involvement with Authentic Relating groups. We hold a collaborative space, and our approach is grounded and supportive, and very 'human'. Yes, we have a lot of experience, but are also just on the path like anyone else.

No Perfectionist Expectations:
A.R. works best as a curious exploration, not by trying hard to be really good at exercises. This is a learning environment. Being able to be basically empathic and present is far more important than quickly having high skills or confidence.

What Authentic Relating (and this event) ISN'T:

This isn't therapy:, but it can be very helpful in organically processing challenges or trauma-residue. Therefore A.R. isn't suitable for people who aren't comfortable to see deeper edges of themselves or others.

There's no 'System' to 'be perfect at': People are supported to tap into their own resources. We don't tell anyone 'how to be'. We honor every individual's incredibly different human journey, and hold space in circle (not 'front of house'), so that everyone is as equally valid.
