    Event description

Celebrate National Biodiversity Month with Sustainability at Sydney and DVCISS, as we collaborate to deliver an enlightening talk from Koori Kinnections, who will share their perspective on biodiversity, how Indigenous Australians developed sustainable indicators of resource usage and how the relationship between people and the environment is not a one-way transaction.

For over 65,000 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have developed a profound connection to, and understanding of Country. Across generations, communities have maintained harmonious relationships with their environment, promoting balance and sustainability.

This event is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for the intricate connection and deep understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have with the environment. Come and learn about our role in caring and advocating for the future of biodiversity and the environment upon which we depend and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges.
