Event description

Exploring Birth After Caesarean Melbourne 2026 is a workshop designed to help midwives and birth professionals confidently support vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC). With rising caesarean rates, promoting

VBAC is key to reducing unnecessary repeat surgeries and ensuring women have access to informed choices.

This workshop will explore the cultural, medical, and practical factors influencing VBAC, including common barriers, risk perceptions, and hospital policies. Participants will learn how to provide effective education, communication, and labour support to improve VBAC success rates.

Through interactive, hands-on learning, midwives will refine their skills in guiding and advocating for women seeking VBAC. By fostering trust and informed decision-making, we can help create positive and empowering birth experiences.

Please note: We’ve made some changes to the workshops! This event covers the exact same content as the previous Vaginal Birth After Caesarean - Exploring the Possibilities workshop.
