Exploring Birth Trauma Melbourne 2027 is a must-attend event for midwives, childbirth educators, and maternity care professionals

Birth is unpredictable—it can be empowering or deeply challenging. Many women imagine their ideal birth, but when reality unfolds differently, it can result in lasting physical and emotional trauma. Post-traumatic stress is a common yet often overlooked consequence, affecting not only mothers but also their partners and families.

Understanding birth trauma is essential for midwives and maternity professionals. Trauma may stem from the birth itself or past experiences that resurface during pregnancy. Midwives play a vital role in recognising, supporting, and guiding women through healing—helping them process trauma and regain confidence for future births.

This one-day workshop provides practical strategies to offer trauma-informed care. Learn how to support women through pregnancy, labour, and postpartum recovery, fostering empowerment and healing. By developing these skills, you’ll enhance your practice and make a lasting difference in the lives of mothers and their families.

Please note: We’ve made some changes to the workshops! This event covers the exact same content as the previous Healing Birth Trauma workshop.
