Armadale Volunteer Services would like to invite volunteers who live or volunteer within the City of Armadale to a free workshop which looks at stressors that might be contributing to our understanding of the importance of Self Care and how that can impact our work as volunteers and other areas of our lives.

Our evidence-based course ‘Exploring Burnout & Activating Boundaries for Self-Care’ supports individuals & organisations in creating a culture with a focus on staff wellbeing. This training looks at stress, burnout & compassion fatigue. Participants will be shown the different aspects of self-care, whilst reflecting on its importance in their work role.

This half-day training will cover:

• What is considered compassion fatigue & burnout?

• The contributing factors, signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue & burnout

• Exploration of boundaries and their impact on our self-care,

• What is genuine self-care and why it is important?

• Aspects of self-care in the workplace; strategies & support.
