Have you heard noises in the evening and thought it was just crickets? Chances are that you were hearing frogs calling. Come along to learn more about the frogs that share our urban environment.
The Growling Grass Frog as a distinctive call, once heard never forgotten! Would you like to learn how to recognise frog calls and learn about how you can help protect frogs?
Join us for a sunset walk to listen to the frogs of Klandy Drive Wetlands in Kalkallo. There will be hands-on activities to help you discover the wonderful world of frogs. You will learn to identify and record frog calls, and maybe even hear a Growler!

What's on:
Frog tour and recording – explore the wetland at dusk and learn how to identify species from their calls and capture their sounds using the Frog Census App.
What to bring:
Smartphone with the Frog Census app downloaded
Comfortable outdoor clothing, long sleeves advised, and enclosed sturdy shoes. Please check weather forecasts in lead up to the event. The event will still go ahead if raining 💧
Torch or headlamp for evening spotting

Please note: Children over 5 years of age are more than welcome to attend but some of the content will be more suited to an adult audience. Children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. We will be walking approximately 1 Km. Nearest public toilets are at 44 Toyon Rd 2 min drive, 650 m.
