Natural capital is the term given to our natural resources - plants, soil, water, animals and other living things, and the services they provide. By managing natural resources sustainably, landholders contribute to healthier environments, as well as potentially access financial gains through market opportunities.

Featuring a range of engaging guest presenters, here's a sneak peek of what you can look forward to:

Emily Wilson from Murray Local Land Services will kick things off with an essential overview of the topic, answering the question - "what is natural capital?"
Hear a local landholder share their first-hand experiences with natural capital on their farm.
Nigel Jones from the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust will provide valuable insights into private land conservation as we walk a revegetation planting site on the property.
Be part of the natural capital conversation with soil scientist, Dr Cassandra Schefe. Cassie will discuss the Cool Soil Initiative - a paddock-to-plate program established in 2018 that has built a framework to enable supply chain companies to work together in a pre-competitive way to support Australian grain farmers in understanding their on-farm emission footprint.

This event will be held on a working farm and includes a short walk to a revegetation site. Please wear sturdy enclosed footwear, hat, and bring a water bottle and chair.
