Exploring Stage and Film FX Makeup

Join your tutor Laura Hewetson (Weta Workshop / World of Wearable Art) for an action packed workshop, exploring the wonderfully creative world of FX Makeup!
There are TWO workshops on offer:
WORKSHOP ONE: "Elements"
This is designed for beginners and those who have a little experience but needing a refresher in the basic elements of FX makeup and body art.
In this 4 hour session we will cover:
- Basic wounds/bruising
- Old makeup makeup
- Basic charactor design
Open to anyone over 12 years old.
SUNDAY 14 MARCH | 1pm - 5pm
$50 per person + booking fee (includes GST)
WORKSHOP TWO: "Advanced"
The next step...Over two days we will cover a range of FX skills and techniques. This is designed for those with some experience or who have completed a beginners workshop before (including 'Elements' above)
Over the two days we will cover:
- How to sculpt clay and make a prosthetic design
- Moulding and creating a latex or gelantine prosthetic
- Application and colouring of prosthetic
- Basic airbrushing
- Using FX inks and advanced materials
- Original Charactor design
Open to anyone over 14 years old (or who successfully complete the Elements class)
SATURDAY 20 MARCH | 1pm - 5pm
plus SUNDAY 21 MARCH | 11am - 5pm
$80 per person + booking fee (includes GST)
Workshops are run at Hartley School of Performing Arts / HSPA

ALL WORKSHOPS USE LATEX and are not suitable for those with latex allergies or sensitive skin issues.
