Exploring Supported Independent Living - In person event
Event description
The Housing Hub team shares knowledge with people with disability, so you can find the home that is right for you. With the NDIS there are new choices. Our team includes staff with lived experience who will share their expertise.
If you are a person with disability who wants to know more about Supported Independent Living (SIL), then this information session will help you to understand what it is, how it works and if it may be right for you.
This free online and in person information session is for people with disability, their families, and support workers. While support coordinators, allied health professionals, and support providers are welcome to attend, our Housing Hub Training sessions may better meet their needs.
Join us and learn about:
- What SIL is and who is eligible
- How to apply for SIL
- How SIL works in different housing
- How SiL is funded
- Some tips when looking for a SIL provider
- Individualised Living Options (ILOs) and other supports
