So, you’ve heard about Tantra... but what is it really?

This 3-evening course offers a gentle, playful, and down-to-earth introduction to Tantra. Our aim is to unpack the mystery out of it and provide a clear, embodied experience of what Tantra is truly about: being present, awakening your life energy, and connecting deeply with yourself and others. Tantra is not just for mystics or gurus, it’s for anyone who wants to live more fully, more consciously, and more connected.

At its core, Tantra is meant to be accessible in daily life, and it’s there for everyone to explore and benefit from. In this course, we’ll show you how real that can be and we’ll explore practices and exercises that support you in bringing Tantra into your everyday life.

Let’s be honest: when most people hear ‘Tantra,’ their minds jump straight to sex. So let’s clear that up: yes, Tantra involves sexual energy (as a form of life energy and creativity), but it’s about so much more! It’s about energy, intimacy, boundaries, breath, and the art of feeling fully alive in your body. It’s about giving space to feel whatever arises whether that’s resistance, sadness, or shame, or joy, bliss, and ecstasy. All of it is welcome.

By the end of this journey, you might just find yourself wondering:
“Why isn’t everyone doing this?”

What to Expect

Over the course of these three evenings, you’ll join a steady group in a safe, respectful, and playful environment. No prior experience is needed, just an open heart and curiosity.

As Tantra is all about exploring and experiencing, we’ll keep the theory light and accessible while focusing on practice, embodiment, and direct experience. Together we will:

Wake up our bodies and energy with movement and meditations
Explore simple yet powerful tantric principles and how to bring them into daily life
Tune into our desires and learn how to express them with clarity and honesty
Practice conscious communication, speaking and listening from the body, not just the mind
Play with touch, massage, and body-based exercises to feel energy and presence
Release limiting beliefs around sexuality and touch, and grow in confidence in your own unique way of being

💫 Respect & Choice

Everything is optional. During this series, there are no explicit sexual practices. Clothes stay on. If there are exercises, such as massage, where removing an item of clothing is possible, it’s your choice how much you undress. But underwear always stays on. Your comfort and boundaries come first.

💫 For Individuals and Couples

Whether you come solo or with a partner, you’re welcome. When we practice in pairs, we’ll rotate partners unless you're attending as a couple and prefer to stay together.

💫 Who Is This For?

This course is designed for beginners, people who are new to Tantra or just starting their journey. That said, if you’re more experienced and want a light, nourishing dive back into the basics, you’re very welcome too!

Feeling a little nervous?

Totally normal! Many people feel this way before their first Tantra event, or even before their 50th! We move gently, with lots of permission and spaciousness. There’s no pressure to do anything you don’t want to do. Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and a willingness to explore exactly as you are.

About us
We are a couple from Amsterdam, traveling through New Zealand. Merel is a Tantric and movement facilitator, ITIP graduate, and certified Trauma-Informed Tantra Yoga Teacher. Simon is a certified psychologist who researches and works with psilocybin, and has been holding Tantric spaces with Merel for many workshops. This will be our first workshop where we facilitate and hold the space equally together—and we can’t wait to see what unfolds together!
