Express your Interest: 2026 Perth Relationships & Sexuality Education in Schools (2 Day PD)

Express your interest in our highly sought after 2-day RSE training!

Do you need some ideas on how to implement effective relationships and sexuality education in the classroom or school community?

Would you like to increase your confidence and skills to teach this challenging subject area?

This FREE 2-day workshop will assist you to plan, implement and assess effective relationships and sexuality education (RSE) in school settings. We will highlight the Growing & Developing Healthy Relationships resources (see www.gdhr.wa.gov.au) and will also explore other innovative resources and techniques that will help you to present key concepts to students.

We welcome educators with all levels of experience in RSE. Some participants may find the content revisits and reinforces existing knowledge, while others may be engaging with these topics for the first time. The session is designed to support learning, reflection, and practical application for everyone.

Applications close on Monday, April 27th and final places will be confirmed by Monday, May 4th. If you are a teacher, your place in this PD will be confirmed shortly (pending spots available). Please note this training will only go ahead if we meet the minimum required enrolment.

• This workshop is recommended for individuals working with year 4-10 students.

• Staff who register with colleagues from the same school will be prioritised above those registering only one staff.

• Those who have previously attended the 2 Day training are not eligible to attend a second time.

• Full attendance on both days is required. A certificate of attendance will be provided on completion of both days.

• Full catering is provided for both days (this includes lunch and refreshments).

• Attendees will need to complete some pre-reading prior to attending this event. This work will take less than 2 hours and you will receive official recognition for this self-directed learning.

• For people travelling >100km to Perth* some funding is available to assist with travel expenses - please complete the necessary details as part of your registration and we will advise you of the assistance we can provide if/when your place in the workshop is confirmed.

• Relief teacher reimbursement: We can contribute to relief teacher costs if required. Please indicate this in your registration.

If you are a teacher, your place will be confirmed shortly after you complete the EOI (pending spots available). If you are NOT a teacher, your place in this workshop not NOT automatically guaranteed upon completion of this EOI.

Preference for this PD is given to Western Australian teachers and applicants with the greatest need for professional development training in the area of school-based sexuality and relationships education. Group registrations (i.e. multiple staff from one school) are strongly encouraged. If you are not a school teacher, we still encourage you to apply, but your application would be strengthened if you can include at least one teacher from your school.
