In this class the students will learn the process of creating radiant portraits in watercolor. This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to paint a portrait with ease. Whether you are starting out painting portraits, or you are already creating life-like paintings like a PRO, I’ll show you my secret tricks that will take your portrait painting to the next level! We’ll learn the fundamentals of drawing faces and painting portraits that communicate emotion, mood and the subject’s character. You’ll have a basic understanding and learn to see values, planes, facial subtleties and break down shadow and light to help you create a striking portrait. I will show you all my favorite skin tone mixes, and techniques so that you don’t have to struggle with that ever again. Whether you are painting light-skinned people, dark-skinned people, or any kind of skin tone in between, by the end of this course you will have new skills that will help you to portray their likeness just right! I will be giving a quick 30 min demo in the beginning of each session going over the fundamentals and main topic.
