EXUVIA: Group Exhibition at Obsidian Bide Art Gallery & Studio Jan 2026

Inviting artists of all backgrounds and career stages to submit works for EXUVIA, a collective exhibition marking the close of the Year of the Snake and the symbolic shedding of old patterns.

This exhibition celebrates the transformative process of letting go, shifting direction, and emerging into something new. We welcome artworks that respond to ideas of release, repatterning, change, movement, light, texture, surface, cycles, and renewal.

If your practice explores transition, skin, layers, uncoiling, pattern-breaking, material transformation, or shimmering/light-based effects—this show is for you.

What Artists Can Submit

• Up to 2 artworks

• All mediums accepted:
  painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, printmaking, photography, digital art, installation, mixed media, video, sound, experimental work

• All career stages welcome — emerging to established, hobbyist to professional

• Artwork Delivery: Tues 6 January 2026 (10am–2pm)

• Exhibition Install: 7 January (Gallery closed 8 Jan)

• Exhibition Runs: 9 January – 8 February 2026

• Opening Event: Mon 19 January (5:30–7:30pm)

• Artwork Collection: Mon 9 February (10am–2pm)

EXUVIA invites artworks exploring the moment we release what no longer serves us, the subtle or dramatic shifts that follow, and the shimmer of new possibilities emerging.
