Government support can play a major role in supporting small and growing businesses in a range of ways. Led by experienced EY professionals, this in-person session will help you understand the research and development tax incentive program in Australia and other available government grants for small business owners.
Melissa Leong: Melissa is a Director of EY Australia in the Government Incentives Tax practice based in the Melbourne office and has over 15 years of experience in providing Government Incentive advisory services to a number of companies from start-up to large multi-nationals. In particular, Melissa’s experience is in technical tax consulting for R&D tax advisory work including experience in ATO audits, AusIndustry requests for information and tax technical advice.
Ellen Gai: Ellen is an EY Australia Consultant in the Government Incentives team in Melbourne. Prior to joining EY, Ellen accumulated five years’ experience in life science research, with published academic papers and patents. Ellen has had experience in both R&D tax and government grant program.
Manula Rathnayake:  Manula is an EY Australia Consultant in the Government Incentives team in Melbourne. Manula has a technical background in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. He has experience in assisting businesses in life sciences, manufacturing, agrifood, and software to access the R&D Tax Incentive.
