Join Enabled Youth Disability Network (EYDN) as we connect are share what we would like to see in the next South Australian State Disability Inclusion Plan.
JFA Purple Orange will be facilitating the session.

Young people living with disability aged 16-35 years old.
You do not need to be an NDIS participant.

Attend in-person or online

5:00pm-5:15: Acknowledgement of Country, housekeeping & Agenda

5:15pm-5:45: Group discussion and answering questions from the JFA Purple Orange facilitator 

5:45pm-6:10pm: Break- includes dinner, low sensory space, connecting to others

6:10pm-6:45pm: continue discussion and suggestions.

6:45pm-7:00pm: survey and wrap up the session

It will be a great night or self-advocacy and community advocacy. This session give a chance for young people living with disability to have their say on what truly impacts them.

The South Australian State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019-2023 was developed and implemented following community consultation in 2019. By developing and implementing this Plan, the State Government was making a commitment to creating a more inclusive South Australia. This Plan was the first State Disability Inclusion Plan for South Australia, and aimed to bring State Government agencies and local councils together to reduce the barriers faced by people living with disability. The Plan needs to be renewed, so the Department of Human Services (DHS) have asked JFA Purple Orange to hold consultations with the disability community about what needs to be included in the new plan.
