Eye and ENT Skills Workshop (FACEMs)
Event description
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is offering the following education session in 2026, aimed towards Emergency Physicians (FACEMs) wishing to fine tune or refresh their skills:
Eye and ENT Skills Workshop (FACEMs only) - Saturday 14 March 2026
The number of places for the workshop is limited to 12 participants per session. The session will run 9am-3.40pm.
In this workshop there will be small group instruction and demonstration by Specialists. The sessions will be hands on and will be very instructive in a supportive environment.
The workshop will allow CPD procedural skills sign off for ENT and Eyes, including:
- ENT - anterior and posterior nasal packing, removal of laryngeal foreign bodies, aural wick insertion, removal of aural and nasal foreign bodies, insert nasopharyngeal airway
- Eyes – lateral canthotomy and cantholysis, tonometry, ocular ultrasound
A refresher slit lamp session will also be provided, along with the assessment and management of vertigo.
