What to expect?
Browse the market of stalls with prints, zines, photo books and photography gear. Take part in a workshop or listen in on a talk to get your creative juices flowing. Meet other local photographers of all skill levels and make new connections. All hosted alongside our annual global exhibition, ‘Present’, that explores the meaning of the present moment.
‘PRESENT’ Exhibition
In this year’s overall theme, we collectively explore the meaning of the present – its feeling, presence, and permanence. Curated by Colectivo Narval, five photo series from five photographers will be showcased at Studio One Toi Tū for a one-day exhibition. Each collection of photos speaks to one another, telling stories of memory held in domestic spaces, the coexistence of life and death within a territory, and the traces a place retains after the body has gone. Featuring works by Shirley Morgan, Eloïse Boitelle, Janvi Bhardwaj, Brayan Diaz Hurtado, and Wieslawa Nowicka.
Photo Market
Alongside the exhibition, a market with stalls of local photographers, zinemakers, publishers and photo labs is open for you to browse, purchase and connect with photography enthusiasts. Each stall brings a range of prints, photobooks, zines and other creations that highlight the beauty of analog and digital photography. Plus, get new gear, film, or accessories from stalls by The Black and White Box, Splendid, and more.
