This workshop is great for creatives who love fabric and textiles and want to create a collage! You will be introduced to techniques, and options to collages whether it is to sew, glue or other ways to adhere materials. Participants will go home with knowledge, inspiration and a collage (or the start of a collage if they go on the same long detail journey as Careen does!)

This workshop is appropriate for ages 11+ only. Minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

About the Instructor

Careen Vaughn is an artist that works by day as a decorative painter and faux finisher, painting murals, furniture, walls, cabinetry and even does Venetian plaster for residential and commercial clients. She loves being a mom, wife and having a turtle and a calico cat! On her free time she loves being creative with beading, sewing, drawing, painting and collaging. She loves getting out into nature with walking, running, and hiking where she finds inspiration, things to collect, and takes pictures to crowd her phone memory. Careen has her MFA from Louisiana State University and her BFA form Sam Houston State University, both in studio art.
